Will I Be Charged U.S. Import Tariffs?

Are U.S. tariffs applied to all shipments? Yes. Since August 29, 2025, all orders shipped to the United States are subject to import duties and customs clearance, regardless of order value. The previous US$800 'de minimis' duty-free threshold has been removed.
How are tariffs and fees handled? Pacific Pet Supplies collects all U.S. import duties and customs fees at checkout, alongside shipping costs. Your order ships Delivered Duties Paid (DDP), so all charges are prepaid — you should not be asked to pay anything on delivery.
Please note: in rare cases, Customs may impose additional fees that are outside our control.
Do I need to do anything when my package arrives? Usually not. On occasion, U.S. Customs may request additional information or processing steps. If that happens, we'll provide clear guidance to help you through it.
Are duties and shipping costs refundable? Once shipped, U.S. duties, customs fees, and postage are non-refundable. Refunds can only be issued if:
- Your order is cancelled before dispatch (full refund including duties, fees, and postage), or
- Pacific Pet Supplies is responsible for an error (e.g. wrong order or lost parcel).
